Q: Do I need to have any previous skating experience to join Roller Derby 101?
A: You should bring any gear you may already have! We will provide you with that you need your first day so you can feel out if Roller Derby is right for you. We also have a loaner gear program to help you until you know what you want to purchase. Please bring a bottle of water, and dress ready to be move.
Q: What gear is required to play Roller Derby?
A: It is required that you wear roller skates (no inlines), helmet, elbow pads, knee pads, wrist guards, and a mouth guard. If you don’t have your own gear, no worries! We have some for you to take for a test drive before you make a purchase.

Q: What kind of time commitment do I need to have for Roller Derby 101?
A: We understand that you may need to work around your regular life to play roller derby, so we have several practice times available on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. You do not have to attend all every week, although your going to want too, and that’s okay too!
